Build the Christmas range around the gift inside
A Christmas range can include a small counter gift, a family bakery assortment and a larger client presentation. Establish what each set contains before giving every size the same seasonal graphics. A box for wrapped biscuits has different spacing and support needs from a tray of decorated cupcakes.
Begin with the Christmas ribbon gift box when a tied presentation suits the handover. For a coordinated range, compare printed magnetic boxes that fold flat with a simpler lift-off format. These are packaging references: the final size, insert, artwork and supplied accessories form part of the quotation.
Give each price tier a defined component list
Keep a separate bill of components for each gift tier. Count the outer box, food-contact tray or individually wrapped contents, separators, ribbon, card and carrier where required. A shared exterior design does not mean two gift sizes can use the same insert.
| Gift format | Decision to resolve |
|---|---|
| Bakery assortment | Portion layout, decoration clearance and visible flavor identification |
| Wrapped retail products | Retention of unequal items and access to the smallest component |
| Client presentation | Card placement, recipient labeling and separate delivery protection |
Separate seasonal artwork from reusable structure
Place the holiday message on an agreed lid panel, sleeve, ribbon or card. Consider whether the same base structure will be useful after the campaign; a removable seasonal element can make that decision easier. Check that tied ribbon does not cover the product label or prevent the lid from opening as intended.
For a countdown calendar, define the number of openings, daily contents and opening sequence as a separate structural brief. A standard magnetic gift box does not become an Advent calendar merely by printing numbers on it. Multi-compartment calendar development requires its own feasibility and sample review.
Approve the complete presentation and its delivery pack
Review one filled example from every size tier, including its card and any carrier. Time the assembly routine with the intended packing team, and decide how completed gifts will be identified when many recipients are involved. A presentation box and a shipping carton perform different jobs; review the outer packing for the actual route.
Use the holiday packaging planning guide to work backward from the required receiving date. Request the confirmed production and delivery schedule after the artwork, quantities and sample scope are clear.
