SIZE & STRUCTURE

Made to measure. Made to work.

Create different box and bag sizes around your actual products. Record the packed footprint, leave practical room for loading, then review the internal fit, outer dimensions and carrying set together.

Dimension illustration · internal measurements define usable space.

Three measurements. The right reference.

01

Box: internal L × W × H

Use internal length, width and height to describe the space available to the contents. Include cups, wrapping, trays and inserts when measuring the packed product. Record any shelf or outer-carton limit separately.

02

Round format: diameter × height

Measure the widest packed diameter, including the cake board or arrangement base. Add the clearance needed for loading and removal, then record the full height with decoration or lid space.

03

Bag: width × gusset × height

Start from the assembled box external dimensions or the packed gift footprint. Record the side gusset and bag height as separate dimensions, then confirm the usable opening and handle clearance.

TRY YOUR DIMENSIONS

A quick internal-size planner.

Enter the complete packed product, including its tray, wrapping or insert. The tool adds a clearance allowance to estimate a rectangular box’s internal dimensions.

RECTANGULAR BOX / PLANNING ESTIMATE

Enter your product measurements

The prefilled values are an example, not a recommended clearance or manufacturing size limit.

Length + 2 × side clearance
Width + 2 × side clearance
Height + extra height

This tool does not calculate an outer box, production dieline or price. If an insert is not included in your measurements, its space still needs to be added. Any supported input range is a calculator limit, not a factory capability.

Use the formulas above to calculate your estimate, then include it in your enquiry.

Different sizes, one coordinated range.

Illustrative brief Example L × W × H Review before selecting
Small dessert gift 120 × 80 × 50 mm internal Check the portion, wrapping and removal space
Medium retail set 240 × 180 × 90 mm internal Review insert thickness and the complete arrangement
Tall display concept 280 × 280 × 300 mm internal Check the board, decoration and assembled carrier

These are design examples, not a stock-size list or guaranteed production range. Dimensions, tolerances and feasibility are confirmed for the chosen construction. 1 inch = 25.4 mm.

A few useful answers

Can one dieline simply be scaled to make another size?

Scaling can also change tabs, material allowances and locking details. A different size needs a structural review and a matching artwork dieline, even when it shares the same visual design.

Does the calculator include board thickness?

It estimates the internal space from the entered packed dimensions and allowances. Board thickness, folding allowances, tolerances and external dimensions are resolved in the structural design.

How should I confirm a cake box size?

Measure the board and the fully decorated cake. Check the widest footprint, topper height and the space needed to load and remove it, then test the agreed box with a representative cake.
